I. Cellular BiologyCells are the basic unit of life, because all living things are composed of cells. A cell is the smallest unit of organism that can be considered alive.

IV. Types of CellsA prokaryotic cell is smaller than a eukaryotic cell. A prokaryotic cell has no organelles and no nucleus, while the eukaryotic does have a nucleus. Also, a prokaryotic cell is unicellular, and eukaryotic cells only some are unicellular. Some similarities that both share are they both have ribsomes, DNA, and flagella.

II. How big are objects in the biological world?
Without magnification, objects in the biological world are very small and you can't really see them. They are tiny and can visualize them by using a microscope to view it. If you use a microscope then you can view the cell and the bacteria they contain.
III. Levels of Organization
Biggest to Smallest.
- Biosphere-The part of Earth that contains all ecosystems.
- Ecosystem-Community and its nonliving surroundings.
- Community-Populations that live together in a defined are.
- Population-Group of organisms of one type that live in the same area.
- Organism-Individual living thing.
- Groups of Cells- Tissues, organs, and organ systems.
- Cells-Smallest functional unit of life.
- Molecules-Groups of atoms; smallest unit of most chemical compounds.

VI. Visualizing Cells
We are using a compound microscope to visualize cells.
